I loved the illustrations, especially the mirror! Its exactly how I saw myself. And the monster is so cute!
When my friend disclosed to me a very “dark secret” about feeling guilty for how devastated and sad she was feeling after giving birth, I did not have the words to make her feel better, given my lack of experience. Then I gave this wonderful book to her. Now, she does not feel guilty or like a monster; as she said, it is like “therapeutic” when she reads the book with her kid because calmness is invited. Thank you to the brave writer for doing this and bringing peace to other mothers.
